Current stage Resource-allocation optimization: design and development
Small virtual machines
within everyone’s reach.
We are designing and developing a way to allocate limited computing resources to workload needs and choose appropriately sized execution environments. The goal is a computing environment where anyone can use small virtual machines easily.
AvailabilityThe virtual-machine service is not available yet. Community registration creates a developer profile after email verification; it does not provision a VM.

DESIGN DIRECTION
Designing how resources are allocated.
This is a product workflow under consideration. It does not mean an allocation engine or virtual-machine service is already complete.
-
01
Understand workload needs
Explore how computing requirements differ from one task to another.
-
02
Fit the available capacity
Consider where to place a task and which execution environment fits device capacity.
-
03
Reuse idle capacity
Design how unused computing resources might support other workloads.
CURRENT DESIGN QUESTIONS
Questions under consideration
- How should scarce resources be allocated according to workload needs?
- How should tasks and execution environments fit available device capacity?
- What operating conditions matter when reusing idle capacity?
PLANNED VALIDATION
Planned next steps

CLAUDE · DEVELOPMENT USE
Support development and operational review.
Claude is currently used for coding, debugging, and test work. No Claude API feature is integrated into the product; these are future prototype plans.
- Future prototypeNode-log summaries
- Future prototypeDiagnostic-event interpretation
- Future prototypeRecovery suggestions for human review
The goal is to reduce the time operators spend reading logs and help them understand failures. Benefits have not been measured, and an operator would review any recovery suggestion.
